About 60% of Africa’s population is under the age of 25, making Africa the world’s youngest continent. Uganda has the world’s youngest population with over 78% of its population below the age of 30. A number of Government initiatives have been started to tackle challenges of youth unemployment and these have suffered setbacks, ranging from implementation challenges, limited funding, poor training and capacity to manage the funds at the grassroots and rampant corruption and mismanagement in Government structures.
